Hey everyone…have you ever thought that which year was before 0001 or how the pattern of dating started ?

Once the humans realised that they must have a date or authorised chronology to signify any event or to know the difference in time between two events.To start a journey we need a reference point. For example to start the english alphabets our reference point is A, like wise to start our dating we needed a reference point. Hence the birth of Christ is taken as the reference or start point in the case of time.

So the year after the birth of Christ is consider as 0001 A.D and the year before the birth of Christ is consider as 0001 B.C or 0001 B.C.E.Here A.D. denotes Anno Domini that means ” in the year of the lord ” and B.C. denotes Before Christ, where as B.C.E. denotes Before common era.
